Series 4100 Knife Gate Valves

Features:

• 304, 316, 317 or WCB solid cast
• One-piece Knife Gate Valve body designed
• Qalified through FEA analysis to meet thepressure rating and shell testrequirements of MSS SP-81
• Face-to-face per MSS SP-81 through 36"
• Precision machined seat with multiple gate guides provides tight one-way shut-off.
• Gate edge is beveled for easier packing seal and longer packing life.
• Meets MSS SP-81 shutoff requirement of 40 cc per inch per minute at 40 psi (water test).
• Port diameter exceeds requirements of MSS SP-81
• Equal to SCH 40 pipe through full size range.

Series 4200 Knife Gate Valves

Features:

• Two-way ZERO LEAKAGE shut-off from full vacuum to the rated pressure of 150 psi (water test).
• True bidirectional flow and shut-off, can be installed in either direction.
• Larger flow area, minimum pressure drop.
• Pressure against the gate is not required to achieve a seal.
• Unsurpassed low-pressure Knife Gate Valve seal.
• Mechanically retained seat prevents pullout*.

Series 4300 Cylinder Knife Gate Valves

Features:

• The carboxilated nitrile with Teflon® compound rod seal is self-lubricating and durable. The rounded lip design ensures proper sealing and long Knife Gate life.
• The standard rod wiper construction is a highly durable polyurethane.
• High strength steel (100,000 psi minimum yield) piston rod has a ground, polished, and chrome plated surface. This surface provides maximum life for both the rod bushing and the seals.
• The bushing retainer allows cartridge removal (cylinder repair) without complete disassembly.
• The tie rods are 100,000 psi minimum yield steel for maximum holding power. The threads are roll formed for superior strength and engagement.
• The piston seal is a carboxilated nitrile with Teflon® compound making it self-lubricating. The “T” seal with back-up ring construction prevents rolling and seals at all pressures.

Series 4400 Pneumatic Cylinder Knife Gate Valves

Features:

• Self-supporting yoke (2” - 12”)
• ANSI Class 150 Pressure-Temperature Rating
• Standard MSS-SP81 Face-to-Face.
• Standard valves are suitable for bi-directional deadend service at the full pressure-temperature rating of the Knife Gate valve.
• Robust Full Face Flange.
• Reliable body joint eliminates the possibility of body joint leakage caused by pipe stresses.
• Options to mate with a variety of ANSI flanges, as well as with DIN flanges and custom bolt patterns.
• Knife Gate Guides guarantee that the gate is properly positioned and supported during operation. The gate guides do not reduce the flow area.
• Dual scraper blades clean gate during operation and protect the seals from abrasives.
• Universal Yoke allows easy conversion from handwheel to cylinder operated and vice versa.
• A taper is added to the body’s internal diameter to eliminate the possibility of material collecting at the bottom of the port and preventing proper closure. The taper ensures automatic “clean-out” and “flushing”
